South Korean box office sensation, Miracle in Cell No. 7 £·¹ø¹æÀÇ ¼±¹° has also been a hit for sales agent Finecut Co Ltd ÈÀÎÄÆ.
On the eve of Hong Kong FilMart, Finecut announced that it had licensed the drama to Comstock Group «³«à«¹«È«Ã«¯・«°«ëー«× for Japan, Flash Forward Entertainment îñÌØçôäÅêóùÚÍëÞÉ for Taiwan, Intercontinental Film Distributors (HK) Ltd ñ½Ø¡ç¯ø¸Û¡ú¼£¨úÅùû£©êóùÚÍëÞÉ for Hong Kong and Joy n Contents Group Á¶ÀÌ¾ØÄÁÅÙÃ÷±×·ì for Thailand.
Directed by LEE Hwan-kyung ÀÌÈ¯°æ, the human drama about a father who is falsely imprisoned and his 6-year-old daughter who is sneaked into his cell, Miracle has attracted over 12.4 million audience members for domestic distributor Next Entertainment World £Î£Å£×. That makes it the third biggest Korean film of all time at the local box office.
Another recent box office hit, romantic comedy Love 911 ¹ÝÃ¢²¿ starring KO Su °í¼ö and HAN Hyo-ju ÇÑÈ¿ÁÖ | ùÛüøñÁ was sold to Twin Co Ltd êóùÚ会Þä«Ä«¤«ó for Japan, Eagle International Communication Co Ltd ûøÖ¤ÏÐð·ï³ç¯ÍëÞÉ for Taiwan and to Lotte Cinema ·Ôµ¥½Ã³×¸¶ for Vietnam theatrical release.
Finecut's hit noir action thriller New World ½Å¼¼°è which recorded over 3.5 million admissions in the first three weeks of its release, recently closed deals with TF1 International for France and MFA Filmdistribution for German-speaking parts of Europe. It was also sold to Well Go USA Inc for North America during the recent European Film Market in Berlin.
The company expects to close further deals on these titles during the next days.
